Together We Can End GBV in Work Place

In affiliation with the SHIELD organization, Two workshops (December 1 and 8- 2018) were organized in Tyre on the occasion of the 16 Days of Activism against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence campaign, For SHIELD members, https://www.sheild-lb.org/ IGOs and NGOs.
The workshops join the call for global action to increase worldwide awareness and create opportunities for discussion about challenges and solutions related to GBV.

The workshops took place on December 1 and 8, 2018 in Tyre and were themed as Gender-based violence in the #world_of_work and it builds on the achievements during the 2017 campaign which was themed Together We Can End GBV in Education.

Dr. Khouloud AlKhatib designed the training to create awareness about Gender-Based Violence in general and in the workplace in particular, where we endeavor to push towards systematic change and accountability. The workshop content was designed in an informal way that will be based on exercises/ activities, case studies, discussion, Roleplays, and informative videos.

In recent years, the voices of survivors and activists, through campaigns such as #MeToo, #TimesUp, #Niunamenos, #NotOneMore, #HearMeToo and others, have reached a crescendo that cannot be silenced anymore. Advocates understand that while the names and contexts may differ across geographic locations, women and girls everywhere are experiencing extensive
