I had an amazing experience in training for women full of power and dynamics that enabled me to examine the opportunities, challenges, and dynamics experienced by women.

The training was organized by AlAmal Organization as complementary to the advocacy workshop that was designed to build the Participants’ capacities on Advocacy tools to advocate towards the legislation of law against Gender-Based Violence.

Women from four different governorates “Baghdad, Karkouk, Salah Deen, and Basra” received the basic communication tools and dialogue skills in their meetings with different stakeholders during the implementation of the advocacy campaign. The training contributed to the structural change of gender norms, laws, and institutions in Iraq, guarantee that men and women enjoy equal rights, capacities, and opportunities, and enable them to participate fully and effectively in transformational peacebuilding with special emphasis on sexual and gender-based violence and impunity.
