Freedom of Opinion and Expression under Attack I – Digital Rights, Legal Spaces and Limitations for the Civic Discourse in Social Media of our Countries.

24 liberal activists came to Beirut from liberal Arab political parties and from different regions in MENA.

Participants were trained on the limitations of freedom of expression in the Arab world.

Discussion for the Freedom of Opinion and Expression under Attack I – Digital Rights, Legal Spaces and Limitations for the Civic Discourse in Social Media of our Countries was thematically tackled aiming to:

• Mapping and discussing the evolution of media and cybercrime laws and regulations in the Arab world
• Discussing case studies of infringement of digital rights.

The training was organized Arab Youth Union for Freedom and Democracy (AYUFD)

in Cooperation with Future Movement and Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF)
