“The Other Dimension”
Organized by the Lebanese Organization for the Defending Equality and Rights (LOUDER) & The Geneva Institute for Human Rights, hosted by the Lebanese International University, I have participated in two human rights workshops held at the Lebanese International University in the Western Bekaa to examine how to harmonize and adopt national laws with international conventions.
Participants ranged between lawyers, human rights activists, human rights professors at universities, researchers and students of the Faculty of Law and Political Science.
This workshop aimed at creating a link between the profession of law and legal issues and dealt with activating the means of using international and regional law and mechanisms.
The purpose of this workshop is to:
- Provide lawyers and human rights activists with basic information, sources and standards of international human rights law.
- Promote and develop their skills as human rights lawyers and advocates.
- Link lawyers to advocacy skills strategic litigation.
